Hi I’m Toni, a seasoned doula learning and growing with every birth I support.
Birth work found me unexpectedly while I was teaching first grade, and I haven’t looked back! Being by a woman’s side as she steps into motherhood is a gift. With every birth, I get to witness another family’s unique story unfold. My commitment is to provide unbiased support honoring each of your choices and trusting that this experience is yours to shape. If you’re here and expecting, welcome. I can’t wait to meet you!

About me
It all started on a little island in Indonesia…
My path to birth work started in Bali, Indonesia, where I lived and worked at a school in the jungle. It was there that I learned how differently and beautifully new moms are cared for around the world. I learned what our bodies are capable of and what birth can look like. My eyes were opened to how different cultures support mothers and a new passion grew. I researched, read, listened to and learned everything I could about pregnancy and birth.
That passion continued when I took the leap to complete my birth doula training and once we settled back in NC, I earned my certification with Childbirth International. I’ve been attending births since 2021 and am continually in awe of the power and beauty of childbirth and honored to be in the birth space.

I’ve been a birth doula for five years! Each birth teaches me something new and helps me grow in this work.

I’m originally from Fuquay-Varina, NC, and I went to school at UNCW. After living abroad for 7 years, we knew we wanted to move back to NC and in 2019 we settled in the sweet little town of Beaufort.

My husband Michael and I were high school sweethearts! We got married in 2011 and have loved doing life together ever since. We also have a lovable chocolate labradoodle named Archie. I grew up with two sisters and now have three nieces, so it was always a GIRL POWER household!

I started as a 1st grade teacher. I didn’t even know what a doula was until we lived in Bali. All of my friends were having babies-some in a pool on their back porch, others at the birth center or hospital. I learned the different ways to care for new moms and about birth doulas. Ever since, I’ve been a full on birth nerd! You can catch me in the grocery store, at a function or at church listening to all the details of someone’s birth story. It’s my favorite subject. And to be in the room when a human takes their first breath is an honor not lost on me.

I love to travel! We’ve lived in three different countries: Kuwait, Indonesia, and Mexico. Our goal was to visit 30 countries before we turned 30, and we made it to 29! We still love to travel. Lately it’s been to warm surf destinations.

getting in the saltwater every chance I get, sunrises and sunsets on the water, cortados, or a good cup of black coffee, walks with my husband and doggo, spin, yoga, date nights and going for a run with friends.
