My service area includes all of Carteret County, NC including Downeast and the beaches, New Bern and Swansboro. If you live in this area but will be giving birth in Greenville or Wilmington for medical reasons, I’m happy to support you there.

As soon as you’re ready for extra support! Usually early labor is a sweet time to spend with your birth partner, and then when you’re ready for an extra set of hands, I’ll be there.
-
I support all of your birth choices including using pain medication during labor. If you choose to receive an epidural for pain management, I help with changing positions to help baby navigate through the pelvis, emotional support, and comfort measures before and after the medication is given.
-
Anytime! You’re never too early or too late. My goal is for you to feel supported throughout your pregnancy and birth. (Veteran advice? All of my clients who chose me to be on their birth team a second time contacted me ASAP. This way you get prenatal coaching throughout your entire pregnancy!)
-
Yes! In fact, they’re usually more involved! I offer guidance to your partner so they can confidently comfort and support you, as well as hold space for you two to be together.

Your midwife or OB-GYN will be your medical care provider during pregnancy and birth. I’ll be there for the non-medical care. This also means I do not make any medical decisions on your behalf. If you’re planning a home birth with a midwife, I work independently. I usually arrive at your home to support you before your midwife team arrives, and if you need to be transferred to the hospital, I stay with you the entire time.

Depending on your coverage and benefits, you may be able to use your insurance for doula support. Currently I’m not a provider through TRICARE. I am an enrolled Medicaid provider with Carolina Complete.

Once we meet for your consultation, I’ll hold your due date for one week. Then when you sign the contract and pay the retainer fee of $300, your due date is officially on my calendar. To ensure the best chance of being present at your birth, I take no more than 3 clients a month. And since we can’t plan when babies come, I also work with a back-up doula.
Still have questions?
I totally understand.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A complimentary consultation is a chance to connect, ask questions, share what you're envisioning for your birth, and see if working together feels right.
“Everything great about my birthing experience I attribute to Toni – she was our rock, and if I ever have another baby I won’t want to do it without her by my side”
